Our Founder
Ir. New Wee Cherng is the Founder and Managing Director of Nurov Environmental Sdn Bhd, a company he established in 2021 with the vision of revolutionizing environmental management. A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (MIEM), he specializes in scheduled and municipal waste management and wastewater treatment, delivering projects that support Malaysia’s ESG and sustainability goals. He holds a Master of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bath, UK, and has over eight years of industry experience.
Since founding Nurov Environmental, Ir. New has overseen landmark projects such as the design of a mobile medical incinerator and an industrial effluent treatment plant, the operation and maintenance of a leachate treatment facility, and most recently, the design and build of a waste oil recovery facility. He is also a Certified Environmental Professional in both Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems and Sewage Treatment Plants. His leadership reflects a blend of technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and forwardthinking innovation that positions Nurov Environmental as a trusted partner in sustainable engineering.
